Auto market should grow by 9.3% in 2010
São Paulo, December 4 – According to the latest figures from Anfavea, the auto manufacturers’ association, vehicle sales should record annual growth of 9.3% in 2010 to 3.40 million units, while agricultural machinery sales are expected to reach 54,500 units, 1.0% up on 2009.
Also according to Anfavea, vehicle production in 2010 should record a 5.4% annual upturn to 3.39 million units, with agricultural machinery output climbing by around 1.5% to 67,000 units.
The association expects export revenue of US$ 9,2 billion, 12.2% more than in 2009, from the sale of 530,000 units, up by 12.8%. These figures are being presented now by Jackson Schneider, Anfavea’s president.
